Ever wondered how blogging would come in handy in your business career?
Or are you trying to knuckle down yourself in making the decision to start your own blog? If you are wondering how it would benefit your business, let me make it easy for you.
Let’s talk business. Shall we.
What is Business blogging?
Business blogging is exactly what it sounds like. It is a marketing technique that uses blogging to increase online visibility. And it only contains blog posts that talks about subject matter that’s related to your business.
Business blogging as a marketing technique – Benefits.
So I was curious to find out what people actually thought about the whole idea of business blogging and what they expect out of it, so I did my own research and was amazed to find out a gazillion opinions about this concept. And by analyzing them, I was able to arrive at a conclusion that benefits gained from business blogging can be categorized mainly as:
- Customer benefits
- Social media benefits
And the list goes on. But I’ll keep it short.
Here are the main reasons why do you need a blog for your business?
1. It helps drive traffic to your website.
It is quite obvious that the ultimate goal of maintaining a website is to drive traffic to it. And how exactly are you going to do it? Because let’s face it, people could type in your name on Google, but that’s just the audience who knows you already. And how will you attract the rest of the people? Blogging does just that. If your post is worth sharing people would share it on any social media network (thank god for facebook, twitter, tumblr etc) that would create an opportunity to draw in the audience who is unaware of you, bringing in more traffic.
2. Traffic is converted into leads.
The traffic that is driven into your website can be converted into leads by adding a “call to action” button which is also known as the subscribe button which comes with free newsletters or any other offers when subscribed which would lead to new opportunities and also provide online visibility.
3. Be a leader in your industry.
Business blogging helps your business to grow. If your business blog has valuable content it would name you as a knowledge leader in the industry. And also since most of the people are well educated and more concerned, providing free information and satisfying their demands would help achieve the trust of your customers and provide reputation benefits to your business.
4. Business blogging provides publicity.
Since your blog speaks about your ideas, inspirations and basically all about your business, it helps you gain publicity which would increase awareness of your business, providing the opportunity to attract customers.
With all that’s been said I assume you are now aware of the multiple advantages of business blogging and are ready to boost up your business by doing so. Happy blogging!
